Shonna Tucker joined the Drive By Truckers in 2004 after years of session playing and stage experience in the Muscle Shoals music community. Tucker grew up in the Alabama pop-music mecca, and learned to play bass in bluegrass jam sessions. She brings an overflow of soul to the already brimming rhythm section of the band, whose tough, funky, and forceful sound provides the mood to compliment the poignant stories of their songs. Their rock and roll recipe cranks out the heat that makes you sweat and drip whiskey.
