In the garage punk trio Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Nick Zinner creates aggressive, pulsing rhythms and torrents of twitching melodic riffs. For Nick, we made a custom Delia—a semi-hollow alder body with a maple top and ash back. The resonance of an acoustic with solid body performance. Black opaque finish, white binding, and hand-cut f-holes bestow a retro look, along with a slim profile neck made from creamy maple with an inky ebony center. The fretboard is Brazilian rosewood with pearl star inlays, which echo the star tattoo on Nick's arm. Two Kent Armstrong p-900 single coil pickups and a Kent Armstrong vintage humbucker supply a full, powerful, thick sound with a nice twang on top. Chrome hardware includes a vintage-style vibrato bridge and tremolo bar and Grover machine heads. Controls include three white/chrome volume knobs, one for each pickup, and a master switch.
