Larry McCray needed a guitar that could get down and dirty with his brand of rockin’ blues, and that’s why he chose a First Act Delia, and added some of his own touches.
Inspired by the semi-hollow bodies of the 1960s, Delia is a mellow double cutaway. The flame maple top, mahogany back and sides, and hand-cut f-holes deliver superior resonance and sustain, and a fat acoustic tone.
The C profile neck is flame maple with an ebony center, set into a carved heel for increased strength. The lush ebony fretboard is bound in white, and adorned with mother of pearl “split anvil” inlays.
Two Alnico humbuckers supply a thick, powerful sound. The innovative low-profile bridge keeps individual string tones separate for a beautiful blend. Our patented through-the-body string retainer enhances warmth and depth. Controls include one tone and two volume knobs and a master switch.
A gold vintage-style tremolo bridge was added for Larry. The guitar body is finished with a warm, transparent red burst and is tipped with a fresh white binding.
