For the loud machine metal of Hanzel und Gretyl, Vas Kallas needed a guitar that could produce a seriously heavy, evil sound.
We started with an angular, asymmetrical custom mahogany solid body. The mahogany neck is topped with a custom blade design. An Indian rosewood fingerboard is bedecked with iron cross-shaped pearl inlays.
A single Seymour Duncan "Dime Bag Darrel" humbucker delivers the signal, and is controlled with a volume knob and kill switch. Hardware is black and chrome.
The guitar is finished in "None More Black" with a custom designed aluminum iron cross below the bridge.
The overall effect is a shocking look and sound... perfectly suited to Hanzel und Gretyl's loud, outrageous shtick.
