Richard's First Act guitar is a custom shape hollow body in classic black finish. He's said that it "looks like a 60's pawn shop guitar, but plays and sounds amazing." Adding to this look are the Pompadour headstock and black top hat volume knobs. The electronics are based on those of his favorite vintage electric. Recently, Richard has been playing the guitar on tour with Guns N' Roses and Nena.
