According to legend, Dave Roe showed up to a jam session
with a First Act ME105 bass that he’d just purchased from a mass retailer. His
son Jerry, who was playing drums at the session and had some experience with
First Act, watched his dad playing with his new axe throughout the session,
laughing at his excitement over the quality of the instrument. Finally, Jerry
caved and told Dave to give us a call. Not surprisingly Dave asked our custom
shop to build him almost the exact same guitar, with the same pickups and
body-style, choosing only to change to our pompadour style headstock. But even
with his new custom, he still likes to play on his small collection of stock ME105s.
For a seasoned vet like Dave, it’s everything he needs, and nothing he doesn’t.
