Priestbird is a trio, but you’d never guess it by their rich instrumentation. Saunder Jurriaans fills out the sound as both guitarist and bassist in the band, so we created for him a double-necked instrument with a dark and mysterious brown sunburst finish. The guitar neck is on top and draws its sound from two First Act Lola humbuckers. The bass neck is on bottom, and features a First Act custom “duo-mag” bass pickup in the middle position and a Kent Armstrong lipstick pickup in the neck position. What is particularly unique about this axe is that its electronic controls allow either neck to be played individually, or both at once, for wild experimentation in the live musical setting. Saunder calls his instrument, "big, huge, gigantic, and versatile. It's so heavy, yet so classic at the same time. It demands attention."
