Eddie Reyes formed Taking Back Sunday in 1999 after a number of stints in other punk-hardcore bands, including Clockwise and The Movielife. The band’s full length debut, Tell All Your Friends (2002), established a melodic hardcore sound with pop appeal, and was followed by What You Want To Be (2004), an album that debuted at #3 on Billboard’s Top 200. After a few changes in the band’s lineup and persistent touring, the band signed with Warner Bros. and released Louder Now (2006), a darker album that reflects the band’s live energy. It reached the #2 debut position on the Billboard Top 200. Recently the band has entered the mainstream, evidenced by the inclusion of their songs on movie soundtracks such as “Spiderman 2,” “Elektra,” and “Fantastic Four.” Still, they remain dedicated to the community that spawned them and have been a staple band on the Warped Tour since 2002.
