Veterans of the ‘90s punk scene, MxPx are still going strong, having released their eighth album, Secret Weapon, their first since re-signing to Tooth and Nail Records, in 2007. The band’s lineup of singer/bassist Mike Herrera, guitarist Tom Wisniewski and drummer Yuri Ruley has remained unchanged since Tom joined in 1995, and they’ve been refining their brand of punk with Christian influences over the last decade and a half. Tom Wisniewski has played on all of MxPx’s albums since Teenage Politics. Before joining the band, he was a drummer, but was friends with the other members of the band, who asked him to join after their previous guitarist left for college. Tom plays a First Act Delia guitar.
