Formed in 1986, The Mission UK was born in the wake of England’s punk and post-punk scenes. The band’s sound is categorized as Goth rock, noted for its dark, dramatic sound as well as pared-down electronic rhythms. Simon Hinkler was the band’s original lead guitarist. Although he split from the band in 1990, he joined with the original members for a reunion tour in 2008.
