Daughters is a gang of five relentless riff hounds from Providence with a penchant
for frantic riffs and twisted song structures. Hearing this kind of musical
demolition, angry vocals, killer guitar riffs—courtesy of Nick Sadler—and
decidedly insane drumming, from a group with an innocuous a name as theirs
might make some people uncomfortable. But plenty of people have gotten used to
it already, as evidenced by the band’s two full-length albums, the latest being
their 2006 release Hell Songs, with a
third said to be on the way. Sadler has also been working on a new album with
his side band,
Fang Island. This is the music
your mother warned you about.
