Damone is a hard rock outfit with punk energy and power-pop songwriting. Shortly after releasing their first album (2003’s From The Attic), the band underwent some tests of perseverance: first their principle songwriter quit, then bassist Vazquez nearly died of a brain hemorrhage. With the resilient nature of their music they continued, recruiting Mike Woods on guitar and amping up their sound for the 2006 album Out Here All Night. The album’s title track won Song of the Year at the 2006 Boston Music Awards.
