Hugh McDonald

Bon Jovi's arena rock sound has sold 100 million copies of their ten studio
albums, and you’d be hard pressed to find anyone who doesn’t recognize the
multitude of #1 singles they’ve put out. Since the departure of founding
bassist Alec John Such, the band’s low end has been handled by session and
touring bassist Hugh McDonald (who played on one of singer Jon Bon Jovi’s
first recording back in 1983). The group continues to release new material
and tour across the world, selling out stadiums and reminding people to keep
livin’ on a prayer. Although he’s mainly noted for his work with Bon Jovi,
McDonald has played with a variety of other bands, from Alice Cooper to
Michael Bolton to John Prine.
