Henry Garza

The aspects of influence and tradition in music run very deep in the blood of Los Lonely Boys. As children, their father was a member of a conjunto family band and the three brothers, guitarist Henry, bassist Jojo, and drummer Ringo Garza got their start as backing musicians when dad went solo. This provided them with his blues and country influences, and a decade of professional playing experience, which they took to Nashville in the ‘90s in order to further hone the Tex-Mex pop rock sound of their three-piece musical unit. The band’s eponymous debut album, which was recorded at Willie Nelson’s Pedernales studio, reached #7 on the Billboard 200 List of Top Albums for 2004, and a single from the album entitled “Heaven” won them a 2005 Grammy Award for Best Pop Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocal. Since then, the band has released two live albums, 2005's Live at the Filmore and 2006's Live at the Blue Cat Blues, and a second studio album, 2006's Sacred.
