Dave Knudson plays guitar for the quirky indie rock act Minus The Bear. Knudson is formerly of the band Botch, where he developed his two-hand tapping technique and effects-laden sound. Minus The Bear signed with Seattle label Suicide Squeeze in 2001 and made a few EP’s before releasing their full-length debut, Highly Refined Pirates, in 2002. Their second full-length came in 2005 with the self-titled Menos el Oso. The group is known for their tight arrangements, sophisticated time signatures, and strange song titles.
