Dallas Green
Alexisonfire is a post-hardcore group from Ontario, Canada, with an explosive, energetic sound that mixes guitarist/vocalist Dallas Green's skilled melodic singing with lead vocalist George Pettit's power-screaming in a tension-building interplay. The success in Canada of their 2002 eponymous debut allowed the band to make the jump into the American hardcore scene, where they played on Warped Tour in 2006, a year which also saw the release of their fourth album, Crisis, on the thriving indie/punk label Vagrant. In 2007 at the 7th Annual Independent Music Awards in Toronto, Canada, the band was awarded Chart Magazine Favorite Album of the Year for Crisis as well as XM Satellite Radio Favorite Group of the Year. Dallas Green has also seen success with his solo side project City & Colour. His full-length debut under that name, Sometimes, won him Alternative Album of the Year at the 2007 Juno Awards.
