Craig Small, lead guitarist for Waltham, has a passion for good coffee, cheap beer, and dogs, but most of all for ‘80s power pop. He has no shame about it, and why should he? Waltham lays down the bombastic sound with such conviction that you’ll be pumping your fist in the air before you know it.

The band is power pop with a little more pop and a lot more power. Proudly waving the flag of ‘80s movie soundtracks with a collection of self-effacing, tightly crafted love songs, Waltham is five guys from Waltham, MA, with a blue-collar outlook and an arena rock presence. Songs about getting the girl, trying to get the girl, losing the girl, or never even really having a chance to get the girl, all wrapped up in a wall of guitars, catchy melodies, and big juicy harmonies. Their tunes beg to be blared with the top down and one hand on the wheel.

Waltham 's public onslaught continues with a spotlight on MTV's "You Hear It First” and “Made”, plus a summer European tour.  The band is currently in the studio, working on a follow up to last year’s self-titled Ryko debut.  New music is expected early next year.
