New York, NY — The Housing Works Bookstore Cafe has announced that First Act Inc. has signed on as a Leading Sponsor for the Live From Home concert series, held on the third Friday of every month at the Bookstore Café in New York City.

Live From Home combines talent often seen in major venues with the intimate setting of a small club. Curated by music journalist Alan Light (who has served as Editor-in-Chief of Tracks, SPIN and VIBE) treats fans to Grammy winners and platinum artists burgeoning talents‹ recent artists include Ryan Adams, John Mayer, Lyle Lovett, Rosanne Cash, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Bright Eyes and many others.
All proceeds from the series benefit Housing Works, Inc., the largest minority-controlled AIDS service provider in this country. Housing Works provides housing, healthcare, job training, and advocacy for New Yorkers living with HIV/AIDS. As an activist organization, Housing Works is committed to implementing the systemic changes necessary to ensure that AIDS and public health policies are sound in concept and equitable in administration.
